HP TET Application Form, Dates, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus and Result | Himachal Pariksha | HPTET 2020

HPTET is mandatory for all teaching jobs in indian government schools. All candidates must be B.ED qualified to be eligible for the HPTET Examination.

HPTET (Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) is organized by HPBOSE to determine the eligibility/capability of candidates for recruitment as Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) in Arts/ Non-Medical/ Medical/ Shastri/ L.T/ JBT other Subjects. HPTET 2020 will be conducted on June and November twice in a year.

Candidates must have to score 60% marks (for SC, ST, OBC and All Reserved category is 50%) in order to qualify the HP TET exam.

HPTET Application Form Fee 

HPTET Application fees for Gen. category is Rs. 800 and for OBC/ SC/ ST/ PHH candidates need to pay Rs. 500 only.

HPBOSE will issue eligibility certificate to the qualified candidates to make them eligible for appointment as teachers in the schools affiliated to HPBOSE Board.

Candidates must need to score at least 60% i.e 90 marks to qualify HPTET Exam 2020.

HPTET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for HP TET Examination 2020 may varies slightly according to the stream and subject adopted by candidates for the test. The table containing the eligibility criteria for various disciplines is given below:

TGT (Arts) B.A./B.Com. with a min. score of 50% marks and 1-year B. Ed. or B. Ed. (Special Education), OR 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum score of 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.)

TGT (Non-Medical) B.Sc.(NM) with a min. score of 50% marks and 1-year B. Ed or B. Ed. (Special Education), OR 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum score of 50% and 4-years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.) or B.Sc. (NM Ed.)

TGT (Medical) B.Sc.(Medical) with a minimum score of 50% marks and 1-year B. Ed or B. Ed. (Special Education), OR 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum score of 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.) or B. Sc. (Medical Ed.)

Shastri with a minimum score of 50% marks from an awarding body that is duly recognized by H.P. Government.

Language Teacher (Urdu/Hindi/Punjabi)

B. A. with Urdu/Hindi/Punjabi as an elective subject and 2-years Diploma in Elementary Education or one year B. Ed. or B. Ed. (Special Education), OR M.A. (Urdu/Hindi/Punjabi) with a min marks of 50% score from a recognized University and one year B.Ed.

Junior Basic Training 12th with a min. score of 50% marks, and two-years JBT certificate from a duly recognized Awarding Body, OR 1-year Diploma in Elementary Education, OR 2-years Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education).

HPTET 2020 Eligibility: 

Important Points

Age limit : No upper age limit for HPTET candidates.

Relaxation in marks up to 5% in minimum score to qualifying examination and in the HP TET qualifying score is permissible for SC, ST, OBC and PHH category candidates.

Candidates participate in any of the listed teachers training programs in its final year (recognized by NCTE/RCI) are also qualified for applying for HP TET 2020 Examination 

Qualifying the Himachal Pradesh TET Exams without fulfilling the eligibility criteria as specified could lead to non-consideration for an appointment.

HPTET 2020 Registration can be done by candidates in online mode only. HPTET 2020 Application Form will be also available at the official website of HPBOSE – www.hpbose.org

Steps to fill HPTET 2020 Application Form 

Step 1: Visit the official website of Himachal Pradesh Board  of School Education and click on the ‘New Candidate Register’ Tab

Step 2: Record personal/general information, such as Subject Appearing for, Candidate Name, Date of Birth, Nationality of Candidates, Candidate Cast Category, Sex, Mobile Number and Email ID of aplicant, complete Address of Candidates, Center of Examination prefered, as specified in the given fields.

Step 3: Upload the scanned pictures or images of the following:

Documents Specifications

Photograph dimensions: 4.5 cm X 3.5 cm; File Type: JPG; File size: upto 20 KB

Signature dimensions: 3.5 cm X 1.5 cm; File Type: JPG; File size: upto15 KB

Step 4: Click on Next, the fees can be deposited through many payment gateway via Debit/Credit Card, UPI and Net Banking.

Step 5: Finally, click to accept the declaration section and then submit the form. A confirmation page is generated with application number indicated on it. Obtain printout of same for future reference.
