Wildlife Santuaries and National Parks Situated in Himachal Pradesh

As per the latest data available with the Himachal Pradesh Forest Department there are two National Parks and 33 wildlife Sanctuaries consituting 12.79% of the total geographical area of the state. All these National Parks & Sanctuaries have been established under the Indian Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972. With an area of 1400 Square kilometers. The Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary in District Lahaul-Spiti is the Largest while the Shilli Sanctuary spread over an area of two square kilometers in District Solan is the smallest in Himachal Pradesh.
