Cement Factories in Himachal Pradesh :
There are three large factories of cement in Himachal Pradesh. The ACC cement factory in Barmana of Bilaspur, who has the capacity of 1700 tons per day. The CCI cement factory in Rajban of Sirmour, who has the capacity of 600 tons per day. The Ambuja Cement factory in Darlaghat of Solan district.
Industrial Policy :
In order to allow additional incentives to the industries and to ensure equitable and profitable industrial development and employment, the Himachal Govt. has notified a new industrial policy and incentives rules- 2004 in December, 2004. The policy is effective from 31-12-2004. Some points of the new policy are as under :
1) The new policy envisages accelerating the industrial development, employment generation and creating an environment which attracts additional investment to the state. The new units will have to provide employment to at least 70% Himachalies to get the incentives.
2) For the equitable industrial development, the state has now been categorized into three categories.
3) Khadi production being produced by village industry in the himachal will be exempted from the payment of tax.
4) A new category of activities is called 'Specified Category of Activities' primarily based on agricultural and horticultural production, tourism and allied sectors has been introduced so as to be encourage such activities in the himachal and provide them incentives.

Mining of Salt in Himachal Pradesh:
Mandi district Gumma and Darang have mining of salt. In every year 30 thousand to 40 thousand tonnes of salt is extracted.
Turpentine Factory in Himachal Pradesh :
The Nahan of Sirmour and Raghunathpura of Bilaspur is the turpentine factory.
Natural Gas in Himachal Pradesh :
Ramshehar (Solan), Swarghat (Bilaspur), Jawalamukhi (Kangra) has discovered reserves of Natural Gas.
