Important Details:
Information regarding publication of advertisement number-01/2025 for recruitment to the post of constable in Bihar Police;
Educational Qualification of Candidates:
Educational qualification for the post of Constable shall be Intermediate (10+2) passed as on 18th April 2025 or Maulvi Certificate issued by Madrasa Board of Bihar State or Shastri (with English) or Acharya (without English) Certificate issued by Sanskrit Board of Bihar State or other equivalent educational qualification recognized by the State Government.
Recruitment Process:
A written competitive examination will be conducted for the candidates whose applications are found valid. Selection/ recruitment process for the vacancies of District Police and Bihar Special Armed Police will be done simultaneously. Candidates will be given an opportunity to give their preference for the desired units (Bihar Police and Bihar Special Armed Police). On being selected for appointment, the preference given by the candidate will be considered as per merit.
Syllabus:
- The first stage will be a written exam of 100 marks consisting of one objective type question paper. The two-hour question paper will have a total of 100 questions in which one (01) mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
- In the second stage, physical efficiency test will be conducted for which five (05) times the number of vacancies will be selected based on the merit of the written examination in the reservation category. The final merit list for selection to the post of constable will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in the three events viz. running, shot put and high jump under the physical efficiency test.
